The Association Malaysians in Western Australia Inc. (AMWA)

Dear friends,

'Selamat Datang'. It is my pleasure to welcome you to The Association of Malaysians in Western Australia Inc. and to provide an update on what has been two very promising years of development.

The Association of Malaysians in Western Australia Inc. (AMWA) was established out of the recognition of the great presences of Malaysians and former Malaysians within Western Australia and a vision to capitalise on the community potential through unity and networking. We have taken considerable steps towards making that vision a reality.

AMWA was incorporated on 3 October 2005, after the former Consul General of Malaysia in Perth Mr Ahmad Jazri Mohd Johar put together a team of experienced members of the Perth Malaysian Community to identify and actively pursue the opportunity to form this association.

I would like to thank members for the support they have shown to AMWA as well as the previous committee members and the present committee members for their contributions to what has been a productive beginning for AMWA.

I look forward to a greater community involvement and the excellent unity amongst Malaysians and former Malaysians with fellow Australians.

SYBAS!

Roslan Abas
