The Malaysia Day - MERDEKA CELEBRATION 2008 will be held in conjunction with Malaysia's 51st Independence Day celebrations. The celebration this year will be the footmark of the many activities organised by the Association of Malaysians in Western Australia and shall be the meeting ground of Malaysians and their friends to the warmth of Malaysian hospitality.
This year The Association of Malaysians in Western Australia Inc (AMWA) is celebrating the 51 years of Independence or better known in Malaysia as MERDEKA DAY Celebration in a modest atmosphere. There will be a Malaysia Day Golf Tournament on Saturday 24 August 2008 at Meadows Spring Mandurah and followed with the annual MERDEKA BALL on the 30 August 2008 at the River Side View Room, The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre.
